Its Hard To Relate To MY Manchester City Anymore
Jan 16th
Of course every football fan wants what is best for their club and every City fan including myself was made up about the take over and seeing on Sky Sports News that deadline day that we signed Robinho was a remarkable feeling, never did I think my club would get a player like him, but the past 6 months I am getting a bit jaded of the attitude of City, Our fans and Our Board.
I see us making bids of £120m for Kaka, £100m for Buffon and talk from our fans about wanting and signing the best players in the world and even demanding such players, we have no right to sign those players and it’s a bit embarrassing to see we are throwing these bids in just because we can rather then our manager wanting those players.
I would rather we looked at a club like Aston Villa who with investment have appointed a manager and given him the backing to buy the players of his own choice who has formed a team rather then something you would dream up on fantasy football. I would somewhat rather see us buying English talent, young talent and players who will play for the club rather then evaporate when the tough gets going and before we throw in bids left, right and center for such superstars we get our act together and get in a league position where our ambition rather then money can attract such players.

Jamie Cockburn – Your Columnist
Jan 14th
If you’re sitting there reading this wondering when the hell this started and you are raging that you have not read any previous columns I have written for Football Forever then don’t worry, this is my first. I could sit here and tell you what I will be writing about but what would be the point, I’ll let you read on and you will find out. I think a good point to start on is some news that emerged today. Yes what else could it be. Its the Manchester City-Kaka fiasco. Reports of a £100million deal is phenomenal and it shows you how serious the Manchester club are to becoming one of the worlds biggest clubs. Also £500,000 a week wages would get any player jumping through hoops for you but thats where Kaka differs from any player. The young Brazilian stood firmly and said no. He showed how much of a Legend and a role model to any budding professional out there. Kaka has stated that he wants to stay in Milan and try to become captain. Why should he move to Manchester, he lives and plays in one of the worlds most lucritive cities and move to Manchester, famous for err, well lets not get into that. He is at club where its history alone would get anyone to do with football’s heart beating!
Anyway to something a little closer to me. St. Mirren. If you don’t know we have played our last at our beloved home, Love Street, which was confirmed last night when St. Mirren sailed through to the 5th round of the Scottish Cup ruling out any chance of a reply at the hallowed ground. It will be hard to get use to the new stadium for me and Saints fans alike, Love Street will always remain in our hearts and I’m also thinking of adding a Love Street memorial to the tattoo I’m getting on the 4th of Februaryof the St. Mirren badge. Maybe get Love Street at the top of it and 1894-2009 at the bottom, I don’t know, I’m open to suggestions.
Anyway I’ll be back next Wednesday and if you want to get your opinon across on the points I have made or any other points on the football world, join the forum!
Cruz Set To Sign, Benjani On His Way Out
Jan 8th
Santa Cruz will complete his delayed transfer to Manchester City by the end of this week after City’s original bid of £13.75m today was rejected.
Former Blackburn and now current Manchester City boss Mark Hughes wants to partner Cruz with summer signing Robinho who has took the league by storm after his deadline day transfer.
City are desperate to have the forward for the Wigan game on 17th January due to injuries however this will leave the path for currently injured striker Benjani to leave the City of Manchester stadium after only 12 months at the club.
The former Portsmouth man could be on his way back to Fratton Park where he was idolised by the Fratton faithful but could also be used in a player plus cash deal for Santa Cruz.

All Systems Jo
Jul 2nd
Manchester City today completed the signing of £18m youngster Jo on a four year contract.
The deal was originally delayed after complications between a third party agreement which was looked closley at due to the Tevez scandel.
There was apparent interest from Valencia and Everton, but neither club followed up their interest with a bid for the Brazilian.
Jo said of signing for Manchester City -”I decided to come to Manchester City because it is one of the clubs who showed more interest in me, although I had other offers as well.
“After I spoke to the manager and I was very pleased.
“I was told Manchester City is a club going forward at the moment. We can go places, that is our objective. We thought about it and I decided to come to Manchester City for that reason.
“The club who showed interest officially was Valencia, I know from the press there were other clubs who showed interest.”
