Season Preview – Chelsea Fan
Aug 7th
Are you pleased with your summer transfers?
So far yes, although I do feel we need another Striker or Winger, depending on the system we plan on using.
Who would you still realisitically like to sign?
David Villa or someone along that standards.
What is your teams main strength?
That we can switch between systems with ease and have the players to be able to play Pretty football, hoofball, or counter attacking tactics, the current crop of players can switch between them and that should give us an advantage. Also the fact we have a new manager and the players seem to be playing witht he air of confidence we had under Moruinho.
Who is the weak link in your team?
Possibly our rightbacks, Bosingwa is new to the Premiership, Belletti is caught out at the back a bit and Ferreira can never decide wether he’s class or crap.

Where do you think you will finish the season?
Either 1st or 2nd
Is your manager the right man for the job?
I’ll tell you once he gets a few league games under the way, but out of the choice we had for manager, He probably is.
One to watch?
Franco Di Santo, amazing technique for a kid his age, decent height and great ability and knows how to score, look forward to seeing him in the first team this season.
What would be the highlight of your season?
Winning the league.

Chelsea Midfielder To Complete Southend Switch
Aug 7th
Chelsea midfielder Anthony Grant is set to complete a two year deal to Southend after impressing on a previous loan spell.
Southend manager Steve Tilson said – “We’ve been talking to Granty and are expecting him to come in and sign for us.
“We obviously had him with us on loan towards the end of last season, so we know what he’s about and it’s a good signing for us.
“He can play in a couple of positions as well, which helps when you only have a small squad like we do.”

Chelsea Player Completes Switch
Jul 1st
Chelsea forward Ben Sahar has signed for Portsmouth City on a 6 month loan deal after impressing for Sheffield Wednesday.

Sahar joins former Reading star Glen Little into Fratton Park, which could see the end of FA Cup hero Kanu after he refused to accept a new one year contract.
Would Portsmouth fans like to see more big name players heading into Fratton Park as they look to seal their way to UEFA Cup group stages? Are Sahar and Little the players to move Pompey in that direction?
You can talk about this in our forums with fellow Pompey fans, all you need is to register a FREE account. You can do this by clicking here.
