Lions Sign McLeod
Jan 15th

League One side Millwall have finally solved their striking-crisis by bringing in Charlton player Izale McLeod.
The forward, who has failed to impress since arriving from MK Dons for £1.1m in 2007, will join the Lions side until the end of the season.
The former Derby, Colchester and MK Dons star, scored an impressive 60 times in 120 games before making his move down to South London side Charlton Athletic.
The deal could end speculation regarding onloan striker Tresor Kandol’s future following discussions between his parent club Leeds United and Kenny Jackett.
I’m sure all Lions fans will welcome the signing of McLeod, who I believe is the type of player we’ve needed to partner Gary Alexander for a long time.

Season Preview – Charlton Fan
Aug 8th
Are you pleased with your summer transfers?
No. So far we have sold our 2 best centre backs and brought in 1 who isn’t as good as the 2 sold! Hudson is a defensive leader, but he has no pace, and from the couple of pre-season games, needs another solid defender next to him, but we have sold all our best ones. As for Stuart Fleetwood, he couldn’t cut in with Cardiff at this level. sunk down to the Blue Square where he was top scorer, and now we give him a second chance. One i don’t think will pay off!
Who would you still realisitically like to sign?
We need another centre back, so Sam Sodje. He was on loan last season, has been told by Reading its time to leave, so come on Pards, snap him up. Also Pards is interested in Cranie from Portsmouth, so why not get him on loan? Other than that, we need a centre midfielder and a winger. Why not a cheaky bid for Davis at Portsmouth, or Etheringham at West Ham or Ben Watson from Palarse. We could also try for Man Utd or Arsenal youngsters on loan. Lee Martin from Utd, or Song from Arsenal?
What is your teams main strength?
Charlton’s strength this season is simply belief. We now have players who are believing in themselves and the club. They have looked confident in pre-season, and its now time to take that onto a competitive stage. Other than that, we have alot of youth players coming through, and for once they are charlton supporters and not spuds or spammers!

Who is the weak link in your team?
Amady Faye. Do i say more? [Signed for Stoke today]
As for in our starting 11, probably the right back, Yassin Moutaouakil. He is great going forward, fantastic pace, and good tackling. but he can’t jump or head. we conceeded too many last year when teams spotted this and targetted him.
Where do you think you will finish the season?
Hopefully play-offs. Not sure if we can go up, but our squad is capable for the play-offs. Only problem is, so are half the squads in this divisions!
Is your manager the right man for the job?
Yes. He may be a little dodgy in the transfer market, buthes a leader and loved by fans. He talks sence and says what the fans wants to here. and you dont find crap excuses coming out of his mouth!
One to watch?
Jojoy Shelvey. He’s only 16 and made his first team debut last season. He won’t last the whole season as he’s still young, but he will make a big impression on the league. If we don’t go up though, expect prem clubs to come sniffing.
What would be the highlight of your season?
2 wins over palarse again! Just to see the looks on Neil Warnock and Simon ‘Tangoman’ Jordans face!
