Everton Fans Article – In Moyes We Trust?
Jul 31st
Scanning through Everton message boards, you would come to the conclusion that the club has just announced that we will be going into adminstration and starting the new season of on minus points.
Everyone wants new players in but Moyes has already confirmed he would rather buy the right players rather then opting to rush through deals of players who will not improve us as a football club.

Out of the players we lost only Andy Johnson, Lee Carsley and Manuel Fernandes were really used throughout the season, Wessels and Gravesen were used on the very odd occassion whilst Anthony Gardner didn’t even manage to put on our famous colours.
Clubs are signing players, but Everton fans shouldn’t be to worried about the lack of transfer activity. Sunderland, Wigan, Bolton and Fulham are buying plenty of players but thats because the quality isn’t already there, unlike at Everton were we have fantastic players such as Yakubu, Cahill, Arteta and Lescott.
Even the clubs around us have not improved that much, Aston Villa have bought a new keeper, have lost a key player to a serious injury and still could lose their most important player and captain to Liverpool.
Portsmouth brough in a Little on a free transfer, an unproven youngster and Peter Crouch whilst having to sell midfielder Sulley Muntari to balance their books out. Whilst Blackburn have lost their best player, along with a consistantly good goalkeeper to bring in Robbie Fowler.
Tottenham have brought in quality but with that are also losing quality in Robbie Keane with Berbatov set to follow.
There is just over two weeks remaining till the start of the season and Moyes has never let us down before.
Portugese Sources suggest a fee has been agreed for Moutinho for around £15m, the biggest potential transfer in our history, its not all bad is it? Look at Luton Town.
Keep the faith.

Arsenal sign another
Jul 30th
Football-Forever is delighted to announce the signing of Amaury Bischoff from Werder Bremen for a thus far undisclosed figure. On an announcement on Arsenal.com, he will be joining the team immediately after their Austrian tour, where Stuttgart are the opposition this evening.
The midfielder has long been tracked by Arsene Wenger, and could be the ideal replacement for the recently departed Alex Hleb, and can play either centrally or to the right of the midfield, although perhaps younger than Wenger would normally put into first team action. He has played at Bundesliga level, and also for Portugal at under 21 level.
Already, he has been assigned the Number 28 shirt, and taken part in a photo shoot parading his new shirt.

AFC Liverpool & The Joe Fagan Commemorative Trophy
Jul 30th
Joe Fagan was widely respected & admired throughout the football world & not just by Liverpool fans. He was a decent fella, a great family man & a great football man. In short Joe Fagan was a class act.
It looks like some of Joe’s qualities have been passed down through the generations judging by this eMail from Joe’s grandson – also called Joe, who sent his congratulations to AFC Liverpool following the victory over Nelson FC to win the inaugural Joe Fagan Commemorative Trophy.
The reason the teams played for the trophy? Joe’s first managerial job was with Nelson in 1951 where he combined the player-manager role with a job inspecting gas meters in the “Cotton Belt” factories in & around Nelson.
Joseph wrote:
Dear AFC Liverpool,
My name is Joe Fagan and I am a grandson of the Joe Fagan of Liverpool FC.
I saw on the website of Liverpool FC that you have just won the “Joe Fagan Trophy” and just wanted to say that I think it is a really nice gesture that you organised the game in memory of my grandad.
It certainly made me happy to see that he is still remembered by true fans, which is what you obviously are.
I know that my grandad would have been proud of your efforts because he was very down to earth and would have recognised that you are keeping the true spirit of the game alive.
Anyway, best of luck and I have attached an old photo of my grandad which I think you will like (top row, far left). From the days when men were men…
Cheers,
Joe Fagan

Jul 30th
Everton chairman Bill Kenwright has told supporters at Evertonfc.com that the club will be “unaffected” by the shock exit of Keith Wyness.

Speculation continues to grow as to what caused Wyness to quit with two weeks till the start of the season and still remain the only club to sign no players this summer.
Everton have dismissed reports that this is a follow on effect of a goverment Call in on Destination Kirkby by the Goverment.
The majority of supporters of Everton FC have welcomed the news of his exit.

Hull Require a New Gardner
Jul 29th
Hull have completed the signing of Tottenham defender Anthony Gardner on a 6 month loan deal to strengthen their squad as the Premier League season approaches.

Gardner spent the previous 6 months out on loan at Everton but was un used as he was injured for a majority of the time.
He told the Hull Local Newspaper – “I do feel like I’ve got a bit of a point to prove now.
“Not playing regularly and being at a big club where there’s lots of competition, it got very frustrating.
“Spurs are a club where you’ve got internationals in every position and sometimes it’s difficult to cement a place and play week-in and week-out.
“Over the last two years I haven’t played regularly either through that or through fitness.
“I’m looking to stay fit and play games, that’s my first port of call.”

Everton To Make Fresh £13m Moutinho Bid
Jul 29th
Everton are set to make a new bid believed to be around £13m for Sporting Lisbon star Joao Moutinho after an initial bid of £11.8m was rejected.

Sporting confirmed that they have not yet heard from Everton after their first bid was rejected but sources close to the club suggest a new bid will now be made after a fee for forward Andrew Johnson was agreed with Fulham.
Moutinho has expressed his desire to play for the Toffees, calling on the two teams to agree a fee for the skipper.
Sporting’s directors said earlier today – “From Sunday there has been no more movement in this subject.”
